Information for Guest Tour Guides

Great that you would like to guide a group around the Van Gogh Museum! In order to ensure that your visit runs as smoothly as possible, we kindly ask that you register in advance.

Five working days after you have registered, a personal badge will be ready for you to collect at the museum. You are required to wear this name badge visibly at all times during your visit/guided tour, so that it easy for us to see that you are a guest tour guide. It is unfortunately not permitted to guide a group at the Van Gogh Museum without registration and a personal badge. Registration and the badge are free of charge.

As a registered guest tour guide, you will receive invitations to special events and knowledge sessions, and stay up to date on exhibitions and other museum news.

1. Register and accept the terms & conditions and guidelines.
2. Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation message. If you don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder.
3. Five working days after registering, a badge will be ready for you to collect at the museum. You won't receive a notification e-mail once the badge is ready. Please bring the email confirming your registration and a valid proof of ID with you when you collect your badge.
4. If you lose the badge, you can apply for a replacement. A replacement badge costs € 10 (your first badge is free).

Guidelines apply to group visits, to ensure that we are able to offer everyone an unforgettable time with Vincent van Gogh. Guest tour guides are permitted to have no more than 15 visitors in their group, and we ask that you take due consideration of other visitors at all times while at the museum.
