About the museum
The Van Gogh Museum holds the largest collection of Vincent van Gogh’s work in the world: more than 200 paintings, 500 drawings and 750 letters. The collection is shown in chronological order and tells the story of Vincent’s life and the artists who inspired him.
The museum is an independent foundation and receives no structural government subsidy. Ticket revenue and donations go directly to research, conservation and education.
