Natural inspiration

Bunzlau Castle is a perfect match for the work of Van Gogh; the artisanry, artistry and inspiration that both Van Gogh and Bunzlau Castle find in nature are at the heart of this authentic collection.

Instead of being simply copied onto the ceramics, Van Gogh’s paintings inspire unique and yet recognisable designs.

The iconic works Sunflowers, Almond Blossom and Irises all feature in the collection, in keeping with Bunzlau Castle’s ‘floral’ productions and characteristic blue.

The collection

The ceramics collection comprises six designs. Two of these are ‘Unikat’ designs, in which the lines are not printed onto the works, but rather painted by hand. This makes each ‘Unikat’ design unique.

In addition to mugs, plates and dishes, the collection also includes teabag holders, tea light holders and various vases. Bunzlau Castle has also designed kitchen and tea towels in two distinctive styles, inspired by Van Gogh’s works.
